Hey moms, I have a 6 weeks old and he's breast milk bottle fed, however, I'm very concerned since every time I pumped I got same amount. I'm getting max 3 Oz and I'm worried while he's growing he's demand will be more, what do you think could happen? I'm pumping every three hours, I'm taking the supplements to increase the milk plus sometimes in the day I have him sucking from my breast, so my production doesn't increase
My baby was the same ( now 9 months) if she takes from a sippy cup, start by 2/3oz and up the intake gradually Mine switched to bottles now with a lot of work as he refuses bottles and rarely ever takes more than 5oz only before bedtime he takes 6oz Space out the feedings every two to three hours So mine takes one in the morning 7am - 4oz 12am 5oz 4pm 4oz 7pm 6oz One bottle or nursing during the night At the daycare he takes 6oz Don’t waste your breastmilk too much at the start, use 2/3oz then see if she wants more
That’s totally normal separation that happens with freezing. That’s great that she takes your milk out of a cup. Typically babies take 2-5oz of breast milk every 2-4 hours. So I would offer at home to see how much she takes so you have an idea when she goes to daycare.
