Baby slamming legs down??

Does y’all’s baby lift there legs and slam them down when they’re falling asleep and throughout the night? It seems so extreme. Just wondering if it’s normal.

Yes. My little guy used to do that when he was little. Seemed like a very weird way of settling down now he’s moved on he doesn’t slam his legs anymore to fall asleep now he thrashed his head side to side to fall asleep. He’s not upset when he does it it’s just his way of settling for sleep

Yeah so weird! Doesn’t seem like a great way to fall asleep but it seems to work. Glad to know it’s normal! Thanks!

My baby did it too!! I was always so confused 😂

My baby girl used to do this and then at 3 months she started violently rolling herself onto her side, and then her back, rocking back and forth to settle for sleep lol its so funny to watch 😭

Hahaha, I just saw a video on this, and "apparently"✌️it's getting close for them to master/work on the rolling milestone!! My LO is slowly starting to ease on leg slamming now :P

Ohh interesting! He’s definitely been working on rolling so that makes sense!

Yes, we have just come out of this phase, he would do it all night some nights! It’s a way of them self soothing.
