Do we get a say on induction date?

Being induced doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have baby that day , mine took 3 days in total with my first x

I know but just my luck it bloody would be 😂 shitting my pants if I’m honest, wanna push it as far as I can 😂 xx

Usually inductions take a good 12-24 hours atleast, who ever booked it in you might be able to speak too?

May be able to move the date by a day I’m sure it wouldn’t an issue, but if it’s your first baby be aware it will more than likely take days to work x

@Leanne no if won't happen the same day , not with your first . You'll be fine and be closely monitored . I had my induction at Good Hope 4 years ago and didn't have an issue. Felt so comfortable giving birth there that I'm having my second baby there too even though I live in cannock x

As long as it’s not earlier then I’m sure they will be fine? I was offered my C-section date on my daughters birthday so I’m going 2 days after it instead xx

Yes, you can absolutely request the date is changed.

I think it's different for everyone with inductions, there is a possibility that baby won't come and it could take some time but from my experience with my first baby I was induced and he was here 7 hours later! If you're worried about the possibility of a shared birthday then definitely ask to see if that's an option 🙂 xx

Thankyou everybody! I’m definitely gonna try and change it.. just by molly maes birth story she got induced and all happened very quick 😂 so to hear more say it was quick with them I’d rather not chance it lol Would I call the delivery suite? That’s the only number that’s on the letter xx

Yeah, I’d ring the number on the letter. They’ll transfer you to another department if they don’t sort the bookings themselves.

My inductions took 3hrs on first and 1hr 45mins on the second all women are different some labour quick some don’t

You won’t give birth that day because it usually takes a while but you can ask for sure

Your most likely to give birth on the 27th depending the time you go in and circumstances x
