Oaxaca Baby Moon? 🌙

Have any of you, Mamas been to Oaxaca Mexico? If so, is it a vacation spot you would consider for a baby moon? Why or why not? For extra context: I’ll be ~22wks around the time we want to go. And while I am comfortable so far in this pregnancy, it’s worth considering that flights on often have one stop w/ travel time is close to 10hrs.

I studied abroad in Oaxaca in college (2006). The history, culture and food are great (though my stomach didn't always agree). I would say it would better to go pre-baby than with baby. We did a weekend trip to the coast, to a nice little beach town, but the bus trip there was treacherous so I wouldn't recommend that, unless you are flying there.

My grandma is from there! I love Oaxaca…travel safe, check twice your itinerary and the areas your going to be around. In general it’s pretty safe but make sure you go when you can move more freely to enjoy the place. Beach areas and city areas require tons of walking and going up and down of cars or buses. Rental cars are an option but be careful with the scammers on you drive.

Thanks Gavi! We may even do a couple days in Mexico City and then fly straight to PXM (puerto Escondido) to maximize time by the ocean in Oaxaca
