Other moms with bf latch issues?

I have an almost 2 week old newborn who is having trouble with a deep latch during breastfeeding. We are seeing lactation consultants, I am doing the recommended things, but it's still taking 5-10 relatches every feed to get him on correctly and sometimes not even then What I'm wondering is if any mom's have started off with this difficulty and actually taught an effective latch, and if so, how long that took. My daughter was the same and I never did "fix" it which lead to supply issues the whole time.

My daughter wasn’t able to latch for the first 10 weeks due to her being too small. I had to use a nipple shield to trick her it was a bottle since she was so used to being bottle fed. The nipple shield helped a lot and I only had to use it for about a week before she finally latched without it. It’s not quite the same scenario. I hope a lactation consultant can give you some really good advice and help you. Best of luck momma!

This was us! We used the "flipple" technique and celebrated 3 years of feeding last week!
