@Tiffany Garza that's the thing! I joined a FB group called "Ask Autistic Adults: Resources for Parents of Autistics" it's an amazing group! I'm just so worried because the ABA Therapy doctors recommend is absolutely hated by all Autistic adults. It's literally trauma for a lot of them. So I'm worried about finding programs that avoid that, but it's hard. Apparently it was created by the same guy that created Gay Conversion Therapy
So my daughter has an evaluation for behavioral therapy cus I suspect some concerns similar to asd. Any advice or pointers on the evaluation and what to expect ?
Go in with an open mind, they will sit you both in a room and let your child play with toys around them and see how they do
