Kind of stuck on some of these boy names… which one sounds good?

So my husband and I have been going through names and one that I really love is Malik and one he brought up is Ivan. Big difference. Initially, he wasn’t interested in Malik so I said we can compromise.. what about Malikai? But others have stated that Malik seems easier and nicer. What do you guys think?

I like Malikai usually in the US I see it spelled Malachi but I prefer the way you spelled it. You can also still use Malik as a nickname

@Regan yeah, i just feel like lots of people mispronounce Malachi and i feel like it wont fit our boy 😭 the spelling Malikai interests me more cause nicknames Malik and Kai

Why not combine the two? Malakan… ivanak… malvian… maliv..🤷‍♀️ you might find something that’s perfect for you

Ivan Malik My kids have two middle names. So maybe add another name y’all settled on if it fits.

Nicknames don't have to be straight from their name spelling. Honestly, you may end up with natural nicknames that have nothing to do with the name! But personally, I'd go with Malik or Malikai for sure over Ivan 🙃 withe is nice!

How is Malik pronounce ? Is the ( i ) silent

Thanks for the suggestions girls. Unfortunately, I still have no idea now about name aha. I’m totally against Ivan I just don’t like it, and I feel like i’m forcing my husband to accept Malik so probably going to just look at other names… it’s really hard I’m scared he’s gonna be nameless for a while ugh

If you’re looking for other names I like Kai as an alternative for Malakai and Ives instead of Ivan!
