Water breaking and mucus plug?

They’re completely unrelated to one another. Some people lose their plug in the second trimester and it regenerates, some people lose the plug and waters at the same time
@Jacq good to know. I really ideally want my water to break instead of contractions just starting so I really know, but I know it doesn’t always happen that way😬

I had my water broken by my doctor but I had a thick white discharge that came out and it had some small amount of blood and I showed it to my mom and she said that was probably my mucus plug!
That's what I thought. I thought I might have missed my mucus plug somehow. But on 39 weeks and 3 days my mucus plug came out with some watery discharge. It continued to happen throughout the day. I decided to go to OB triage just to check it out and guess what? My water was broken and I was leaking. So hang in there. You never know what could happen.
@Maddi yeah I’ve also seen some girls losing their mucus plus once they are close to 40 weeks or past 40 weeks. I know all women’s bodies are different too so just gotta hang tight and hope he will come soon. Just want some sign that it’s coming soon🤣
With my first who is now 5 I didn’t see me lose my plug half of my waters broke at 39 weeks and went hospital to have other half broken and had her two days later. Sometimes it’s common to not even notice it’s come out that’s what they said to me when I expressed my worries over this.
My water broke early in the morning and lost the mucus plug hours later at the hospital
I never seen my mucus plug but my water broke at 38 +1 and she arrived 38 +2
My water broke,Mine happened randomly- went pee then went to get a water and started having a few drops go down my leg so I went and cleaned up. Went to my husband and then my water just gushed. Not until minutes later my mucus plug came out completely.
i didn’t lose my mucus plug til i was induced! and my water wouldn’t break on its own
I lost my mucus plug two days before I gave birth, I was in labor both those days and ended up having to get my water broken at 6 cm
My water broke but I didn’t lose my mucus plug. I also didn’t get contractions until 5 hours later. You may just end up getting induced.
I didn’t lose any of my Mucus plug till after my waters broke

Kids #1 and #3 lost mucus plug/water broke almost simultaneously. Kid #2 was a premie. Just gave birth to #4 on 3/8 and water broke and didn't ever see mucus plug.
My mucus plug came out when I had the Foley balloon in and it fell out at 5 cm!
With #1. Lost mucus plug slowly over a few weeks, more so week of and then bloody show 2 days before water breaking. #2 lost mucus plug day of and day before labor started. Bloody show during labor and stalled at 8cm until they broke my water.
