Question around car seat for 2nd baby

Hi there, My 1st born is 2 years old and we are pregnant again. I am wondering what people have done in similar situations regarding car seats? Can the 2 year old car seat go in the front seat now? Any advice would be amazing. UK based. Thanks!

Do you mean in the passenger seat by the driver? If so then there’s no law stopping this, airbags must be turned off though when using a car seat in the front. However statistically speaking it is much much safer for children to be in the back seats of the car and to also be rear facing as long as possible, preferably up to age 4. Is there a reason you can’t have both baby and toddler in the back of the car?

Also regarding similar situation I have a 10 yo, a 2 yo and a 3m old. We have baby seat behind the passenger seat, toddler seat behind the drivers seat & fortunately our eldest is tall and slim so doesnt need a booster and can squish in the middle of the two - poor girl definitely is squished lol

Is 2yo rf still? If so, yeah in front is fine, with airbag off. Why can't they both be in the back?
