CM v LH surge

Myself (F27) and my fiancé (Trans male 32) have been TTC through home artificial insemination with a donor for 5 months - 6th month try any day now. I’ve got a blood test tomorrow to check hormone levels etc and have paid for a private fertility MOT (everything came back normal) I know 5/6 months isn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things but the donor has an exceptionally high sperm count and motility with a success rate of 1st / 2nd attempt (the majority) so I’m starting to wonder if we’re doing something wrong. I have regular periods - usually 27 day cycle, don’t drink / smoke or drink caffeine, and track my LH surge with strips then digital once I get stronger lines (once I hit peak is when we usually inseminate and then again the next day) I have just started tracking my BBT and am trying to understand it but it confuses me! I have used Flo for the past 18 months. My concern is that my app predicts I will ovulate today and I have had “fertile” cervical mucus for the past 2 days but no LH surge on my strips yet. My cervical mucus isn’t egg white today it’s more like water, what’s happening? Is it possible to ovulate before LH surge shows up on a OPK or is my cervical mucus normal? I feel like I’m starting to overthink everything now? If there’s anyone else out there TTC the same way who wants to talk please do drop me a message :)

It sounds like your doing everything right, there is only a 15-25% conception chance every month even if if all circumstances are perfect so I would just keep going and trying. Sending you baby dust!
