Anyone else NOT share their child on Social?

My husband and I decided not to share on child on social media. We sent out a post when baby was born that we didn’t want any details online (baby’s gender, name, birthdate etc). Most people have been really understanding of this but occasionally I get comments and frustrations thrown my way. I always tell everyone “if you want pictures or to see the baby just text me”! I also feel like since pretty much everyone else shares stuff that when my baby gets older they will feel like we didn’t want to share because we didn’t love them as much or something😭 I have just seen too many true crime YT videos and it’s not something I’m comfortable with for the time being. Anyone else out there decide not to share? If so, do you also get comments/ feel bad? I’m confident in our decision as of now. It’s just sometimes hard… which is also the dumbest thing ever!

I share on Instagram only because I have a lot of family overseas and don’t have a Facebook. My account is private and I’m careful who I accept as friends.

Don't feel bad at all! Do what makes you and your family comfortable. We haven't shared LO on socials, luckily we never had to have a conversation with anyone or eachother. We're more reserved online and everyone we know, knows that about us. It'll get easier the longer it goes on and become normal to everyone

We don’t share on social media and we gifted our parents Aura frames for Christmas, which allows people to upload pictures from their phones straight to the frame and they all loved it!

I feel it’s up to the parents either or not you want your baby on social media. It’s no one’s business but your own. I agree that if you personally want pics just ask. Just keep doing what your doing .
