Exercise

I wanted to stay physically active my whole pregnancy. But a couple weeks ago (I’m 37+1 now) I started having more and more Braxton hicks when I was more active and then slowly lost pieces of my mucus plug and I’ve been too nervous that I was going to go into early labor so I just stopped doing much. I feel so lazy and yucky all the time now but every time I do a light workout I start having contractions again 😰 My bf says I should just rest and take it easy but it’s bringing up a lot of sad feelings for me. Is it ok to truly just wait out the next couple weeks till my c section or is exercising ok?

Listen to your body , sounds like Your bf is correct . Maybe replace exercise with walking or something less intense . You only have 3 weeks or so to go , u got this !

Same!! I was going to yoga twice a week then gym twice but the Braxton hicks are hitting more often and baby gets super active with me😭 I had to slow up too and it made me feel lazy but doctor said I’m fine to continue but I chose to embrace the break. Once you hit the 37 week mark you’re technically “full term” so you’re fine to continue but if you want baby to wait until 40 I say chill🤷🏾‍♀️ enjoy the break instead of feeling bad. You can still go for walks, get a massage, anything just Get some rest before baby! You’ll need it! Once they’re here it’ll be more pressure on yourself to be a mom and find time to rest and do things like go back to the gym! This is the calm before such a beautiful storm. Relax and enjoy the break

It’s fine to relax , do low impact exercise to stay flexible and keep heart healthy if you feel drawn to stay moving. Walk in the neighborhood, do yoga ball stretches. If you are not wanting to labor yet you can take antihistamines or cramp bark tincture or capsule, but like the lady before me you are considered early term not pre term now so it would be safe to deliver now . Full term is 39wks but there isn’t much left to do after 37wks but she’d vernix and get more lung goo going on lol

37 weeks is full term, so you’re fine if you happened to go into labor!

If you’re worried maybe try very light exercise like an exercise ball? That’s what I’ve been doing. Loosing pieces of your mucus plug is totally fine and safe and can actually grow back. You’re so close to the home stretch that baby should be completely fine. If it’s too painful or uncomfortable take a break and just listen to your body. 😊💕
