It's such a systemic issue. I'm being told I can't deliver at my local hospital due to my bmi .. zero other concerns. No high BP, no diabetes, healthy baby. Add to that I've delivered 3 healthy, uncomplicated pregnancies at this hospital previously with a higher bmi. Now they expect me to travel 2hrs while in labor.. this is my fourth baby and my last one came in under 3hrs. So basically they'd rather risk me deliver on the side of the road myself than see me locally because of a stupid chart.
Iâm so sorry you had that experience. That sounds horrible. I was nervous when I went to have my first OB visit, she was great and made me feel so comfortable. All the blood work came back fine, she said gaining 10-20 pounds for myself was ideal but also itâs okay if I lose 10 pounds. Glad you found another doctor that fits better for you.
@Giuliana he told me i can lose 15 lbs
Not gaining weight during pregnancy???? So basically they are recommending losing weight which is actually quite dangerous for both baby and mum. That's ridiculous. Good on you for seeing through the dirt and firing them
I was told by my consultant no more mcdonald's for every meal even tho I don't eat it and had one nurse pat me on the tummy and say we may not be able to see baby thru you tummy as you have a rather large tum tum while patting my stomach not to mention being told I'm gaining to much weight which may cause still birth even tho at 32week iv not gained any weight that isn't just baby xx
