Not even sure where to start....

for those of you with older kids, when did or are you thinking about having the talk about relationships, sex and all that? With social media, K-8 buses/school and older siblings... My son is learning a lot quicker than I ever did. I never had the talk personally and don't plan on being silent... But curious if anyone has had a similar experience or what you guys did.

My son is nearly 5, for a couple of years we’ve been answering questions and giving high level info about relationships, reproduction etc. He understands (or at least I think he does) that eggs live in a mummy’s tummy and grow into a baby, then either come out through the vagina (or by c-section since that’s how he was born). We’ve talked about different types of families as well.

My daughter started getting curious about different things one day She was 9 I just sat her down and explained where babies came from/ how they are formed, she was really grossed out but i was glad to get it over with 😂

Our kids aren't allowed on social media and we homeschool....so most things we can monitor. Ages are 11 down to 2 with a baby on the way. We've always had very open communication on sex/reproduction (age appropriate), menstruation, puberty, relationships...etc. We prefer the textbook/diagram version since it removes the weirdness and is just how things are. The kids don't seem to mind asking questions and talking about things.

My son is 1 and my daughter is still brewing so idk, but I will never lie or downplay any of the questions. I do want to have them knowing by like 8-9, especially my daughter because girls can get their periods around 8. Although most be older, the fact it can happen early, I need her to know early lol
