We started. Though we have been doing cereal for awhile due to having to put it in the bottle for his reflux. We have tried some sweet potatoes too but so far the oatmeal has been the only thing he really likes. We were advised to start with veggies after the oatmeal.
I started exactly at her 4 months and been doing oatmeal cereal and vegetables, and it's going well for the moment.
We have her 4 month appt this week (she’ll be 4.5 months) and if we get the okay I’ll probably start soon after that.
I’ll wait. I was surprised that the Dr recommended to start at 4 months! Obviously this is parents choice. We prefer to wait.
We started at 4 months before we got the okay because our pediatricians website listed all the info for signs of showing readiness and he definitely was. So we tried pears and sweet potatoes over the course of ten days to watch for a reaction with both before moving onto the next, and his doctor said he was definitely more then ready at his checkup. Now he’s on bananas!
We just got the okay! I’m going to start in the next week or so. Hah I feel like JUST as he’s getting really good at breastfeeding, now we’ve got another food thing to master 😂
Waiting until 6 months.
We did! Last night was her first experience and she had purée green beans and it went GREAT! I was shocked at how well she took it. So natural for them!

I started right away. The doctor cleared it and said she was ready for solids.
