First shoes - which make?

So I’ve spoken to my friend about it and she said first ever shoes have to be from Clark’s. In her opinion if we don’t get Clark’s, our son will have posture issues when he’s older. I’m confused. Is that true? What makes would you recommend?

I think it’s good to get their feet measured at Clark’s to see if their width as normal shoes are a F fitting. My little girl is a G and doesn’t fit in the standard supermarket or trainers. They’re too narrow so we have to buy Clark’s or start rite!

I took my daughter to get her feet measured at Clark’s, I bought her first pair of shoes from there. which she wears daily. (And will keep as a keepsake after she grows out of them) they are expensive, but whilst she’s cruising we are sticking to Clark’s until she’s walking properly and abit older xx

I went with clarks as we took her there to get fitted properly first. But i am no mug, after getting sized and seeing the prices i left the store swiftly and jumped on FB and found 2 pairs her size for £3 each! A pair of strap shoes and a pair of trainers, both is really good condition :-)

I don’t think it really matters as long as they are fitted correctly. There seems to be some unwritten rule that kids must have their first shoes from Clark’s for some reason xx

I done some training on shoe fitting and as long as they are well fitted shoes with good support they will be fine. We use Clark’s and I’m trained in start rite, both are great brands but I still buy my nieces and nephews converse/Nike etc as they are fitted correctly.
