Braxton hicks

I’m 34+1 weeks and I’ve noticed over the past 24hrs that my braxton hicks have become extremely intense. Some coming as often as every 5 minutes. They don’t really come with pain as such however I do have a very high pain threshold. I do feel like they’re slightly stopping me in my tracks and was wondering because of how frequent they’ve become could this potentially be a sign that baby may come early?

If they are getting consistent like that there’s a chance did you talk to your ob about it yet ?

@Kamylle no I haven’t, I have a midwife appointment on Tuesday so was trying to hold out until then. It’s happening so often now that I’m starting to think I could be close to the real deal!x

@Lauren when you have the really consistent contractions Are they lasting for like an hour or does it you get a couple five minutes apart for like 30 minutes

@Lauren I get wanting to wait but just a quick phone call so they know what’s going on doesn’t hurt at all, maybe they want you to come in early and your in labor. I hope everything goes well and you and your little one are healthy

@Kamylle they’ll be going on for hours with a frequency of 5mins apart, yes I think I may have to make the call!x

Mine are all the time too, anywhere from every 4m to every 10m to 1-2 an hour - track them for a while and if they stay consistently an even amount of time apart and are slowly getting closer together, then head to maternity, if they’re up and down, they’re BH Mine are super strong and sometimes painful (I’ve had them since 31-32w and now 37w) they get stronger over time too

Mine have been consistent since my second trimester. I’m just taking it as a sign that my body is getting ready for labour and my labour will hopefully be short!
