Snip or not!

How do you decide to snip your little one or not? I've been with both who hasn't been snipped and ones who were and it didn't mess with Thier performance. You might have to clean one better than the other, but how are you deciding? I'm genuinely curious, I have two girls and this is my first boy, so I want to understand!

I left the decision up to my husband for the most part but we are having it done.

@Carla I've heard a couple horror stories of botched jobs but the same can be said about having it not get done. Just as unlikely to have problems either way you go

My husband and I decided to do. It’s just easier to keep it clean in the long run and theres no cons to not doing it.

I agree with @Aubrey It is a permanent thing that they have not say in and usually is not medically necessary. I have a boy already and it is not a problem keeping it clean since the skin is fused to the head for the first few years so by the time they need to clean it they will have the ability to understand what they are doing and why. I was told that they will pull it back themselves when it's ready (makes sense since my boy is ALWAYS touching it)

We decided not to. I gave my husband the final decision. He is snipped, but we both agreed that we didn't want to do something that wasn't medically necessary. I joke that he had to explain to them (another boy on the way) why they are different. If it becomes necessary, or even if they choose to do it in the future, absolutely, but we don't see the need to do it now.
