BF mums- duration of feeds?!

Helloo mummy's hope you're all well! I've just seen a post about something similar - but my question is a bit specific to times. My LG feeding times seem to be shortening every day. In worried she's not feeding enough but we are getting plenty of wet and dirty nappies. Im concerned as she was a slow gainer at the beginning. Like sometimes her feed is 8 minutes! Other times a max 20 mins. How long do your LO's feed for? And do you do eat play sleep routine? Xx

@Karen thanks for the reassurance! Those 2 minute feeds, i often wonder are they even feeds 😭 X @Amy aww thanks, it's crazy how much we worry about things which tend to be normal! I was told about how babies become " efficient eaters " but going from feeds that were almost an hour a couple of months ago to a 8 minutes nibble just didn't seem right!! X @Daisy I've not weighed her in 6 weeks but i was planning on doing a weigh in this week. It's reassuring to know a lot of other mums are experiencing the same thing x

My LG will do anything from 5 mins to half an hour, as long as you’re getting your wet and dirty nappies I’m sure she’s fine! Do you take her to be weighed? I take mine every 4 weeks just to check she’s doing ok as I worry sometimes is she getting enough x

I was worried about this too, as my LG would sometimes be on one boob for 50 mins then other times both and done in 10 mins. I asked my health visitor and she just said they take what they need and they stop when they’re happy, sometimes it’s a comfort thing other times it’s a quick snack. As they get older they know what they’re doing and do it quicker type thing. Don’t worry too much, if you’re worried ask your HV but that’s what mine said to me ☺️ x

My lo can be anything from 2 - 40 mins 😂. If he gets distracted then it’s a short feed. But sometimes he will sleep/feed. They become more efficient with feeding the older they get so don’t panic when they have shorter feeds :) The feed times you have sound perfect :)
