@Caroline aww I love this and congratulations ❤️ sounds like a beautiful day x
@Alex hope you all get better soon and glad your day was decent xx
I've had a lovely mother's day thank you. We found out we are pregnant with our 2nd baby 2 weeks ago and today we told my Mum and hubby's parents while out for a mother's day lunch. Had breakfast in bed this morning and some lovely gifts and cards from my 2.5yr old (which obviously daddy paid for but she chose everything!)
I was working but I work from home so was still able to spend some time with him, hubby's making tea and were having a nice bottle of wine when our son goes to bed... It hasn't been a bad day
We went out for a meal and brought a sofa although my 6 year old was slightly unhappy and started crying as they dropped her pudding and the Nutella covered her unicorn cuddly toy! Oh and oh decided I finished with my desert when my 6 year old needed the toilet which was slightly annoying! Apart from that I enjoyed my day.
We did, card and cuddles this morning, lunch out at my favourite restaurant with my side is the family and then now on video call with his side. I do have a present on the way but it’s been delayed so didn’t arrive on time.
I had a lovely day! I hope you did too… I was brought tea & toast for breakfast in bed by my little one, we then went for pancakes & milkshakes, topped off by seeing our baby no.2 on the big screen at a private scan 🥰💙💗💐
I had a lay in, then shared a sausage sandwich in bed with my LG, Cuppa & opened a personalised card & book We had lunch with my parents then my mum & toddler chased around their garden & made lovely memories x
Well I was woken at 7am with my 7 and 9 year old bringing cold toast and a cup of coffee... followed by having to do my little girls birthday party. Daddy bought bath stuff, but it was fruity smelling which I don't use, so gave to my daughter. And after I had finished making all the food, cake etc. For the party, taking the kids climbing etc. Turns out the choices for dinner for us was fish - already had my fill of fish this week due to being pregnant... or bacon sandwiches or toast... so yeah, feeling a little under appreciated right now. Yet when fathers day comes he will expect the world to fall at his feet no doubt.
Glad that most of you had a lovely day. @Charlaine sorry you're feeling so unappreciated, I would take this as an opportunity to also "forget" Father's Day like I will be lol
Mine was hard work but nice as I spent it with the ppl I love most. I'm on my own with a nearly 2yo and a 6mo. Spent the morning with my kids, picked my mum up and brought her to mine, cooked a roast, took my mum home just before kids bedtime. My mum got me a card and gift from the children. Now chilling with the TV and a glass of wine. It's been lovely
I got woken up by our smoke alarm going off from my breakfast in bed 😂, then argued with my 5yo about brushing her teeth/getting dressed 🙄, dropped them at my parents so we could see my mum (i saw her for all of 10 minutes) & give her gifts. I then went to work for 11 hours. My partner brought my LG to see me at work for a couple of hours in the afternoon, which was really nice. We had a couple days in the week together instead where i took my mum & daughter to a special afternoon tea & my partner went with us on a shopping day out the day after, where he bought us all lunch. So my mum definitely felt appreciated this week too.
I’ve also had a wonderful first Mother’s Day! Woke up to coffee and breakfast and cuddles with my little guy. Husband surprised me with a trip booked to Paris! 😍 We then did a little bit of shopping, and went on a gorgeous little walk round a farm and park. Then came home for a Sunday dinner and lots of play time and cuddles with my son. It’s been perfect, I’ve waited years to have my first Mother’s Day and I feel like I’m just on cloud nine! 😊 I’ll be seeing my own mum this week to celebrate her too!
I got a card (that I found out I bought he used my card 🙂) and he scribbled in it pretending it was my daughter instead of just sitting with her to let her colour in it. I just wanted to go to the park and chase her around and go feed the ducks but he said it was going to rain and then my daughter was too tired 🙂 he also told me Mother’s Day isn’t important as it’s just any other day so I shouldn’t be upset that she’s going to spend the day with his mum. So I spent my day crying and she was at her grandmas 🥲

@Bambi the damn fing cheek of your SO. And very low of your MIL to have your kid on Mother's Day how inconsiderate. Well there's always "Father's Day" to ignore. Maybe go spend that with your family 🙄
My husband made breakfast, and then I had a bath while my son napped. I didn't get a card or gifts but I don't value those. We spent the day together and to me that's perfect
Today we tried to go to a gallery that was meant to be open but turned out it was closed today :/. We then ended up going to a farmers market type thing and a cafe with my baby and my mum so I'd say a good day indeed. My OH sent me a WhatsApp message during the day (baby and I are currently visiting family abroad) so that's that. I know he forgot but I didn't care. I'm saving that energy for when it's Father's Day 😂🙃 no card or flowers but maybe next year lol
