Frustrated - gestational hypertension

I’ve been trying so hard to be healthy during this pregnancy. I eat well and am an avid exerciser and I’m pretty fit so I figured I would be fine. Gaining weight has been difficult enough (although I know it’s healthy) and this week I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension so now I have to cut my diet down to mostly vegetables and a little protein and healthy carbs. I pretty much can’t have anything sweet and no salt at all. Nothing to drink besides water and a little caffeine if I get a headache. I will also probably be having her early so I’m freaked. I am trying SO hard just to focus on how excited I am to be a mom but it’s hard having literally ZERO enjoyable vices while pregnant. Makes me quite grumpy. I just needed to vent a bit. Any advice or words of support welcome ❤️

Most doctors can only follow the ACOG recommendations. Which are about 20 years behind research. I'd definitely recommend doing your own research and even looking into more modern countries and their policies. Your dr isn't wrong, if this was the late 90s and early 2000s.
