@Carol I had DCDA and was still scanned more than a singleton. DCDA should be scanned at least every 4 weeks even withouy complications.
Congrats! You’re having dcda twins, when they each grown in their own placenta, that’s really good. It’s unlikely the nhs will see you before 12 weeks for a scan and if all goes well in your pregnancy you won’t need more than a singleton pregnancy but they do like to keep an eye for twin pregnancy so maybe towards the end of it you will be going more for extra scans or monitoring.
Congratulations!! We found out at 9 weeks by a private scan but still didn't have a NHS scan till just after 12 weeks. Looks very similar to my first scan. I have DCDA twins.
Thanks both! I suspected DCDA from what I'd been googling today and they seem lowest risk so that's fab news 🤞🏼 I'll expect a 12w scan then but let you know if I hear any different x
