Dummies

I'm really torn about giving my baby a dummy, I've never liked them - for no particular reason at all! I feel like if I give my baby one, other people will judge me for it (LG is 4.5 weeks old) and it's another thing to have to wean them off! What're everyone's opinions of them?

My LO has already started to suck her fingers and thumb but will not take a dummy. In my opinion I can remove a dummy but can’t remove a thumb so I’m for dummies for that reason, thumb suckers can have lots of issues! if only my LO would understand this 🤣

I was so against them but I give one my little girl just at night time and it really helps settle her! X

I didn’t know what to do either but my son ( 3 weeks old ) will use a dummy to help settle him after I try everything else. My biggest worry with him using it was that I’d miss his feeding cues etc xx

I've been the exact same!! Was absolutely adamant I didn't want to use them, and again for no exact reason! Anyway I've just introduced them to my 3 week old but only in the night as she likes to suck on the bottle after feeding for comfort and then when I remove the bottle she wakes! I bought MAM 0-2 month ones x

Yes definitely we thought the same but he absolutely loved his dummy and definitely comfort xxx
