Maternity clothes

Clothes are getting tighter, especially pants. 😬 I’m getting uncomfortable easily with anything even remotely tight. Where are we shopping for new clothes? Any recommendations for soft pants/ bras? Also how do you size? Pre-pregnancy size or size up to account for pregnancy?

Blanqi jeans are 100% worth it

not specifically maternity, but skims has the softest underwear and basics! and aritzia, especially the tna butter line

@Julia Thanks. Just saw some ads for Blanqi. Will check it out.

@Eva awesome. I love aritzia. Do you size up?

I love elastic sweats or track suits-but with a cuffed ankle! They hold tummy on but they’re not tight! They’re not maternity, but flattering!

i had a tiny waist to begin with so i always had to buy the tops either loose or oversized and put a string into leggings to make them fit, so now i’m just removing it :) and getting to skirts that i was putting off getting tailored

I bought one pair of maternity pants just in case they didn’t fit. I bought a small because that’s my original size. But since they’re maternity pants, I should still wear the same size. I will see if I am right and if they fit

I've been using a bellaband with my pants for now until I need maternity pants. I actually used them throughout my first pregnancy, haha. I've heard good things about Blanqi.

I read that you order your normal size in maternity wear — you don’t have to size up

Lululemon align leggings a size up ... so stretchy and comfy they are the only bottoms i can wear ... crz yoga butterluxe are align dupes that are more affordable too!

Thanks all. One more question - My regular on the waist or high waist pants (even lose one’s) are really bothering me. I can only do under the belly. Is that also true for maternity pants? Will they make the bump uncomfortable?

@Foram The over the stomach maternity bands are not like elastic or tight. They typically have very loose silk like fabric that just sit on your belly. That's the best way I can explain it anyway, haha.

I already have been wearing maternaty pants because smooshing my tummy adds to the nausea. The over the belly maternaty pants are wonderful. Very stretch and comfortable. I bought mine at target. Oh and Old navy for maternaty leggings.

8wk. I started sizing up really random bigger stuff for now because I rather just be comfortable and I figure I would fit into my pre-baby clothes anyway. Like I went to old navy and got two pairs of jean shorts two sizes bigger than my usual and eventually I’ll probably move onto stuff from Amazon

I did all spandex when I was pregnant 🤰 but that's just me. And when I was working I have no idea where my mama ordered my pregnancy pants at.
