Weaning

I’m one stressed mummy right now as I’ve just done homemade cottage pie with quorn but didn’t realise you couldn’t give it babies. Help ladies

@Hayley @Bethany it is high in fibre and low in fat which means it will fill baby up but not give them as much energy, so at this age it’s not really going to be a huge deal as they won’t eat that much of it and probably aren’t burning that much energy like toddlers etc. they recommend not giving it until after 3, however I’ve been vegetarian my whole life and had the own brand supermarket veggie mince from around a year old and was fine. As with most things it’s a precaution and it is worth not doing it a lot but a little won’t harm them.

One off will be fine, it’s just because it’s filling but won’t give baby as much energy but as long as it’s not every day bubs will be fine 😊
