I’m using one and sleep on my right side. It doesn’t feel good to sleep on my tummy like I always do

I've only been able to sleep on my back with 2 pillows propping my head up. Prevents heartburn too

I’ve never been a back sleeper and now i only sleep on my back

I’m sleeping on my side. Either one.

@Jennifer I read you gotta sleep on your left side, sleeping on your right side can cause miscarriage and stillbirth

I just ordered a pregnancy pillow off of Amazon… no matter how I have been sleeping I wake up with a horrible back ache!!!

Anyway my body decides to get comfortable

I sleep on my left side like I always have. Not using a pillow yet.

I sleep mostly in the left side (always had) with some right side and back sleeping mixed in. I sometimes put something between my legs because I have hip pain but I sleep with dogs so I’m avoiding a pregnancy pillow for now.

I try to sleep on my sides but it's like my hips go numb! I end up sideways half on my back but elevated by my pillow

Does it matter what position you sleep in during the first trimester? Or is it more for the second trimester?

@Aisha it’s more second trimester.

@Jennifer same. I'm a tummy sleeper and I was sleeping on it until like 9 weeks but it became uncomfortable

I just got a pregnancy pillow. I'm 12 weeks. I mostly sleep on my sides. I also sleep on my back but usually not long before switching to a side again. Apparently left side is the best for blood flow. But I rotate between left and right

Sides, but it doesn't matter too much yet. However, my arms are falling asleep all night, so I constantly switch back and forth.

Side sleeper with a full body maternaty pillow. It's wonderful.

I started using a maternity pillow because I started getting really restless sleep and am trying to get myself used to sleeping on my side I usually sleep on my back and wake up on my back which doesn’t matter much now anyway

I'm 10weeks roughly. Just started to use a maternity pillow Up to now I've been mixing both sides and back sleeping with some tummy laying but now tummy doesn't feel comfortable and with the second trimester approaching I'm fine with that. Now Im mostly sleeping on my sides switching between right and mostly left. I'm super restless right now and have lots of pelvic/tailbone pain. Using the pillow between my legs helps SO MUCH.
