Waking up screaming - teething ?

Very recently my LO has woken up for his first “feed” of the night screaming his lungs out! He’s never ever been a screamy baby. Never had that newborn cry, either. Not in a snug way, it’s just never been how he’s cried. He’s always made an almost “ugh, ugh” noise until he’s got what he wants. Well the first wake of the night recently, he’s been absolutely inconsolable. 0 to 100 (so I don’t think it’s Hunger) and just making the loudest, most ear piercing screams. Firstly, has anybody else seen this change in their LO? And secondly, do you think it could be teething. He does have a cold, and this didn’t happen before that. I have however given Calpol, have the room at 21, use vapour rub, a vapour plug and have put a little pillow under his crib mattress to very slightly prop him up. It just seems too much of a coincidence for it to be the cold when it’s always his first wake ? Ah, I don’t know. But the noise that’s coming out of him sounds like he’s in agony or something terrible has happens to him.

Try giving Ashton and Parsons powder before bed, seems to really help my little girl x

We’ve had this a few times recently- she wakes up screaming and it takes a while to settle her. Not the usual cry but can’t find anything wrong - doesn’t need changing won’t feed etc. Not sure if its teething or something else (although not a cold for us) but its horrible 🥲 hope it’s just a phase

We had this the other night and it was constipation, she was in so much pain. It could be teething or maybe a nightmare? Which sounds horrible to think, because what could they possibly be dreaming of that’s so bad but maybe? Is he showing any other signs of teething? X

My son does this when he has a cold … he was really bad the other week and it turned out to be covid so maybe do a test ? X
