Thinking of you- it’s a hard time. I’ve had two egg collections, both times had 7 or 8 follicles. In the first round we ended up with 3 embryos, in the second round we had 4. Keep going, you’ve got this. I have low AMH so was only expecting lower numbers. But each time ended up with embryos to freeze. You just never know. Sending you tonnes of luck x
@Ria hi Ria! Your numbers gave me hope! I’m on my first stimulation for ivf. Based in previous ultrasounds for IUI i’m expected to have around 7-8 follicles and hopefully one or two embryos for transfer. My low reserve is mainly due to age. Did you transfer any embryos?
My doctor told me that it’s hard to know the true number of follicles based on the ultrasound, and a Nurse Practitioner laughed when I told her I was hoping for 15. Much to all of our surprise, I ended up with 48 (only 26 mature)! So here to let you know that ultrasounds are guidance but not always the end result. Even if numbers stay lower, it’s quality over quantity. Of our 26, we landed with 5 PGT normal. I’ve seen so many in the IVF community have fewer eggs, but the same or more blasts/PGT normal/better graded embryos. Knowing you’ve got 10 in the running right now is great! Small follicles can sometimes catch up super quick, as well! Don’t give up on them yet. Sending hugs; stims are a hard time! 💜
