Clingy baby? Or not enough milk?

Hello, I am hoping for some help. My 7 week old has been having a harder time lately with feeding. He will feed for a long time and cry when I go to switch him to the other breast. Then, he will tend to fall asleep during the process so I never know if he has had enough. And then even if he's completely passed out he will wake up as soon as he isn't on me and be wide awake and extremely fussy, and then nothing will console him except for being on the breast. Amid that sometimes he will also latch and relatch repeatedly, but that isn't every time. I want to say tentatively that this does happen after I do my one pump a day but I'm not certain of that. And it is more toward the after 5 time.... Totally lost! Help!

Burp him ....sign that a baby is full is his hand will open hungry is a fist....he is probably really full and gassy....a good burps and you should be a happy momma again....i breast feed 4 of 5 of my kids and it never fails.

Yeah just burp him after every feed or in the middle of it if they need it

I usually feed one side, try to burp he doesn’t always burp then feed the other side and burp again. My little guy often falls asleep during feedings as well and wakes up fussy. I used mother’s milk tea and found that helped increase my milk supply. Also tried to feed frequently and used hand expression which eventually increased my supply. My little guy was eating small amounts frequently. Around 8 weeks my supply finally increased and now at 10 weeks I find most days he eats more less frequently

It is also common for babies to get fussier in the evenings. We went through a rough few weeks. We crush and steep fennel seeds and make a strong tea. We find that helps calm his stomach. Our little guy has a lot of gas and gets very upset
