Adderall alternatives

Hi Mamas! I’m 7 weeks, I stopped taking adderall just over a week ago (as soon as I found out I was pregnant). I’m afraid my work performance is going to suffer. Can anyone recommend any alternatives?

I was on adderall and I was recommended to switch to Guanfacine 2mg but I take It before I go to bed. (I took the adderall when I woke up ) work performance is the same but also being pregnant does affect your performance too so you have that. But it’s a safe route, I still take It and I’m breastfeeding

I fall asleep driving and stuff without Adderall. No fun & then it being a controlled substance it's annoying to have to call it in every month instead of a 3 month prescription. Had no idea there were other options so thanks for that

I was worried about the transition too but was easy once I figured out that taking It during the day was a no go and taking It at night worked. It’s been a game changer

I struggled my whole first trimester without it, then got back on it at 15 weeks on a lower dose. If you really have a difficult time, try half of what you were taking pre pregnancy. Also switch to IR if you were on XR. So I went from 30 XR to 10-15 IR. If I have another baby I would just take it the whole time instead of stopping. It's a low transfer med meaning not much penetrates the placenta. They just dont have a lot of research so they csnt recommend it as "safe"

We've started trying teas and focus supplements with my husband. He's drinking a blend that seems to help, but it's hit and miss on his bad days.

Not sure. I was monitored with my Adderall XR with my youngest the whole pregnancy minus the first trimester, and Ritalin ER with this whole pregnancy. My OB, midwives, everybody was aware and monitored me and I had no issues. My adhd is so bad the risks didn’t outweigh the benefits but everything went fine
