@Gabrielle hopefully someone is kinds enough to share it with us. 🤞🏻 But I will def look into it! Thanks! ❤️
So I've seen some end up videos on tiktok about this method, it is basically cry it out. If you're comfortable with crying out just do the Ferber method. That's considered a "gentler" CIO. It is banned in all of the Sleep groups that I'm in on facebook, I'll share some accounts that have better methods. On Instagram, @heysleepybaby @islagracesleep @infantsleepscientist @the.peaceful.sleeper On Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/groups/biologicallynormalinfantsleep/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT In my opinion a lot of the Sleep consultant advice is the new health supplement thing. It's not really needed or evidence based but they've convinced you that you have to do it or you're not doing the right thing for your health. There are gentler ways to do it then something that's been proven to be harmful. 🖤
OP can you explain what you are talking about? I’ll be 11 weeks tomorrow and I feel like everything in this post is in a different language 🤦🏼♀️😅😬 What is the “first five months bundle”? what’s in the bundle? What/who is Taking Cara Babies? What does said bundle have in it/purpose of it? sorry in advance for sounding so dumb 🥲🙃
Taking cara babies is a sleep aid for babies. Helps the parents learn how to help babies self soothe and stuff like that. The bundle is the first 5 months of the babies life. And then there’s further ones for when babies get older
Look up taking cara babies on Instagram
I definitely don’t think ferber method is harmful to your child… letting your baby cry for some time is definitely not harmful. Even if they cry for 10 min bc you need a mental break from them your baby will fine. Sleep training isn’t harmful @Faye
@Kaylin hey! Look up takingcarababies on IG and it'll all make sense. Lol
@Gabrielle there are evidence-based studies proving that sleep training *can* be harmful. Even the study that coined the term self-soothing proved that children were in distress and had raised cortisol levels even once they stopped crying. There are also lots of studies proving that, at a young age trauma does affect your health later in life. Babies can be diagnosed with PTSD from NICU, my son is one of them. Just because you "think" something isn't harmful doesn't mean it's not, especially with every baby being different. There's gentle ways to help sleep independently. https://www.babyclinic.co.nz/blog/what-does-self-settling-actually-mean https://islagrace.ca/sleep-myths/truth-behind-self-soothing/ https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/moral-landscapes/201112/dangers-crying-it-out This is the best explanation I've seen for sleep training: https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2019/07/15/730339536/sleep-training-truths-what-science-can-and-cant-tell-us-about-crying-it-out
Good for you then. Get off the post. when someone is specifically asking about a sleep training course if you have nothing good or helpful to say. She wants to know if anyone wants to share the course with her. I’m guessing you don’t have it
It worked great for my son it works for some and other ways work for others so whatever you did with your child awesome. But my son isn’t traumatized from crying. He’s perfectly fine
@Gabrielle I gave her other options while describing that it is the Ferber method which is considered CIO 🤷🏼♀️ So many of my clients have paid for the course before realizing it's Ferber
If you can’t find anyone to share it with look up the ferber method. I think it’s pretty similar to what she talks about in the thing. I really wanted to get it but obviously didn’t have the money. I was sooo desperate haha so I looked up everything. I found the ferber method and it worked great for us.
