Does any mom take the weight loss injection call wegovy or the ozempic

I’m six months postpartum. It’s been really hard for me to find motivation to start working out. I have my whole family, including my partner telling me that I need to lose weight for my health, and my relationship and for myself. My partner is telling me either I take the weight loss injection or the surgery. When my man met me 8 yrs ago I was 130lbs and I’m 195lbs . How do I find motivation to start? For years, it’s been hard to lose the weight. It’s easy to gain weight then to lose weight. I’m pretty sure all the moms on this group knows that is easy to gain them to lose the weight

I was on ozempic for a year in 2020. It worked really well until I stopped taking it and then I just started maintaining with exercise but I noticed I started gaining if I ate normally. I had a lot of other friends on it. It's a great drug but a lot of people will start gaining back once they get off it and it's not really for long term use. Ozempic helped but I was also doing calorie deficit with exercise and low calorie intake, calculating my basal metabolic rate and going off of that. As for surgery you'll need a pre existing condition to qualify if you want insurance to pay for it.

First of all at 6 months PP, you're body is still processing what it just went through. Your spouse being supportive is one thing, but this sounds like an image thing for him. However, I started a program at the end of January and have lost almost 40 lbs. It's a life transformation, not just a quick fad diet. If you're interested in chatting, msg me. ❤️❤️

Ive been on ozempic for 2 months im nauseous all the time and have gained weight

Start slow and find something you love! I’m 10 months PP and finally down to my pre-pregnancy weight without any crazy diets and 30 min workouts.

@Daphne I’m about to go in the wegovy shots starting this coming Monday

Im annoyed that Drs even do this for people because there's insulin dependent people like my MIL who have to experiment with new insulins every 2-3 months because she can't get ozempic now

@Guadalupe absolutely!

@Olivia im on it for my AO1C im trying not to become diabetic. My insurance needs to pre authorize it so i probably won't be able to get it again.

Start easy! 5 minutes a day is where I start. You can do this it will be worth it!

First off, ozempic is only meant for diabetes patients also keep in mind if you aren’t diabetic while using this medication then you are losing muscle * NOT fat so while you may lose weight it’s not the kind of weight you want to lose.

@Essie 🇺🇸 what is muscle fat?

@Daphne I meant muscle NOT fat it was a typo

Nope as that stuff can be dangerous and unhealthy. If your man is telling you that then that is a red flag to me personally. If my husband told me our relationship was at risk if I didn’t lose weight I would show him the door. If you want to lose weight then it should be for you and you alone. You have the power in yourself to do it! You just have to start and trust me you can do it! I have 3 kids and workout twice per day! I have an amazing fitness community open to anyone interested! I have lost 10lbs since 26 March. I found I kept making excuses to not start or to not stick with it. I found I was wasting time on other things. I am currently on day 28 of 75 Hard and my team (certified personal trainers and nurtitionists) is running a custom fitness challenge next month that I am all in on as well.

@Summer I have nothing against using it for that reason! I have issue with people that use it solely for weight loss

I have a health condition which is hypertension that why my doctor recommended me to take the shot and that shot really help me . Now my blood pressure is way better then how it was when I was pregnant.

@Tara I would love to learn more about your fitness community 😊

Im having the hardest time getting my insurance to approve it it’s so annoying. I am pre diabetic and obese so I’m gonna push for it

@Olivia i just wanted people to know it might not be all that great. I was miserable the entire 2 months

@Summer are you diabetic?

@Summer that strange cause for me was feeling nauseous every week however i did lost 11lbs in the first month with the wegovy shot and my blood pressure got better . I just hate the nauseous

First of all no man should ever tell you what to do with your body. Second, I have patients on Wegovy. Feel free to message me any time.

@Daphne as i stated above, I am pre diabetic i was on it to get my AO1C down to normal levels
