They provide the first few diapers, Vaseline/petroleum jelly, mom's mesh underwear, pads, peri bottle, and some samples for baby. Definitely bring your own diapers and wipes as you will go through quite a bit (even in the first 24 hours), and a body wash for yourself for that first shower after labour. I had my little there 5 weeks ago.
@Crystal thanks a lot. This helps!
@Jessica thanks a lot for sharing. Congratulations :). Do they provide witch hazel pads and lidocaine spray or do I need to get my own?
@Sim ou! Forgot that. They didn't fo lidocaine, but they did have a disposable ice pack and some tucks pads ready (probably the best feeling after my delivery!). But they only had one round, so definitely bring some witchhazel pads (I used the fridamom one as they were longer) And thankyou! RVH was fantastic. We have nothing but positive to say about our experience there :) You'll do amazing!
@Jessica thanks a lot for sharing. Now I have started to become a bit anxious. This helps alot :) hope you are having a wonderful time with your lil one! :)
I too had an amazing experience with rvh. The hospital staff in both labour and delivery and then paediatrics was just fantastic. Good luck and congrats !!!
In 2021, I got 1 newborn diaper, and 2 bottles of Ready Feed formula. I was not provided with anything else. I packed everything else that I needed (for both myself, hubs and little).
Gave birth at the end of March, they provided me (moms) 2 mesh underwear, a few large pads, peri bottle and (baby) a knit hat and ready-to-feed formula if you want (but you need to ask for it, they didn't offer me any until I asked). I had an amazing experience their giving birth, and every nurse I had was fantastic!
Really the only thing they provided was a sample size Johnson baby shampoo and comb and a knitted hat when baby is born. First couple of diapers they had for us but bring your own diapers and wipes .
