I don't know about hummus per se, but usually the warnings and guidelines err on the side of caution. The likelihood of anything coming off this is small so I would not worry. Personally I probably would not use it as an excuse to eat it again but I definitely wouldn't worry.
Everyone and and our individual bodies are different. BUT. One of my go-to snacks while I was pregnant with my daughter was definitely pita chips/cucumbers and lemon or Greek hummus. I had soo much and thought I was eating healthy. Baby came out perfectly healthy. 🙂
Dont panic. Have green tea or lime water (which works best for your health) and flush it out. It'll make you feel at ease that its out of your system
Don’t worry about it! There is such a small chance of listeria in hummus! Plus you will hear about it if there is a listeria outbreak in hummus but it is highly highly unlikely
Plus women in the Middle East eat hummus all the time when they are pregnant
You'll be okay! Very slim chance, especially if you haven't heard of any outbreaks in your area. If you really want hummus, it's super easy to make. I make mine with a can of chickpeas, Minced garlic, and 2 tbs each of olive oil, lemon juice, and the liquid from the can. It takes all of two minutes, but I like to let it set for a couple hours. All safe ingredients.
I’ve had some! No issues. Listeria is more common to be in the fresh fruits and veggies we eat even more than lunch meat. Don’t stress yourself!
