So what I’ve taken to doing (and do every year now) is I make a video on my iPhone (using iMovie) of him and the girls from last June to this June... he loves it and looks forward to it every year... I’m the one taking thousands of photos all the time anyhow! :)
It’s a bit time consuming- but doesn’t cost anything... and you can look back on it every year and you get to see your little ones growing up... :)
I’m making him whatever he wants for dinner, a chocolate fudge cake and doing a little basket of things like chocolate, socks, a little picture, things like that x
First fathers day I gave my husband a collage frame with a print of the first picture of him and our daughter and a picture from his first Father's Day. I also helped our daufhter finger paint. Lol. I was planning on taking him on a picnic but it was way too hot out for our daughter, so we went to lunch at a place he really likes.
Second fathers day (this year) we actually celebrated yesterday because my dad will be in town for fathers day. I replaced his sunglasses he lost, our daughter gave him a mug and chocolate covered espresso beans. I also made him a shadow box with one of his favorite pictures of them walking, the dried our flower he picked for her on that walk, a foam heart with her hand print on it, and a little message made out of tiny wooden letters from Michaels. We went swimming, grilled, and watched a movie.
Ha thank you!
Kristin, you’re an awesome gift-giver! You’re setting the bar too high :D
Last year I painted my husbands military boots and both kids feet stamped them all over lapping on poster paper then copied a sweet poem around the prints. He loved it and it meant a lot to him
Awww. I love the first celebrations. Staying on budget... you can cook his favorite food, give him a fully body massage at home...men are usually pretty easy when it comes to gifts.. usually
