If you're worried though, there is a boots own alternative to bio oil which is what I've been using :) it doesn't have that ingredient in x
I read that and switched to Neals Yard mothers oil

I was worried about this actual point as I just bought Bio Oil - and was confused as so many people had recommended using it for stretch marks

Most healthcare professionals agree that for safety, the daily intake of vitamin A by an expectant mother should not exceed 5,000 I.U per gram. Further research from other websites state... The SCCS opinion is that the use of vitamin A in body lotions, up to the maximum concentration of 0.05% of retinol equivalent, is safe. Bio-Oil includes vitamin A in its formulation at well below this maximum.
