Excessive sweating

Is anyone else suffering with excessive sweating? I am 41 and have really been struggling with this. I feel like my body can’t regulate or take the heat any more at all. It happens all day and I can hardly stand to be outside anymore and will sweat right through my clothes. This also is happening when I am anxious which is 90% of the time. I also wake up most night sweating.

yesterday

I started getting severe hot flashes all day long and drenching cold sweats at night. My anxiety had also gotten so much worse. It was horrible. I saw my gynecologist and was put on hrt. It has helped a lot!

@Pam Same. And I have no shame in telling the folks I'm talking to "Excuse me, I'm having a hot flash." I need to get thru it and they need to get over it. 🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥💨💨💨

I’ve been dealing with it for 10 yrs best thing to do is wear thin clothes and always carry hand fans! 😢

I use a frozen water bottle and sit with it in between my legs and this helps when I’m trying to cool off. I don’t go outside unless there is water near to get into when I’m too hot. Walk and dusk also helps

It has been the worst for me as well with the anxiety but I think some of the sweating is being brought on by the anxiety! I can’t even enjoy my son’s sports anymore because of the sweating! It’s really bad too because I feel like the worst spots I have been sweating from are my groining area and when I stand up I leave sweat spots/puddles in the chairs and sweat right through my clothes, it’s completely embarrassing and makes me not want to be in public.

Summer used to be the only thing I truly looked forward to. Now I dread it.

This has been the worse symptom for me. I’ve always loved summer. 100 degrees wouldn’t even phase me. Now I just can’t take it. I sweat just brushing my teeth or tying my shoes. I’m always hot.

Awesome thank you!

@Stacy not necessarily too high but the ratio of progesterone to estrogen is off. Check out the North American Menopause Society they have a list of doctors that specialize in menopause. Let me know if you need help finding a doctor in network I'm a licensed health insurance agent.

@Jen so our estrogen could be too high? I thought it was declining causing the sweating? This hormone stuff confuses me and there is no one around here that takes the time to care or help with hormones, it’s beyond frustrating

Estroven Complete

Yes I started the excessive sweating about 2 years ago…it got so bad I couldn’t take it anymore …did a lil research and Estoven Complete has been a god send …Target and Walmart carries it…hopefully this helps

Sweating is one way to get rid of excess estrogen if you're not detoxing properly.

@Laura it is our age. Our progesterone levels are dropping and our estrogen levels are fluctuating. And because of this more sweating.

This happens to me at night it’s horrible. I wake up in a patch of sweat. I’m 40 so maybe it’s our age 🙄

Yes! Ugh its awful

Yes! I am so embarrassed when it happens, too. I’d like to stay home so I can change clothes when I need to. Lately I have had good luck carrying a small, rechargeable fan. It cools me off quickly and keeps me from sweating so much.

Same here. I really want to travel, but I’m afraid I’ll have the need to strip completely naked (like I can at home!) at an inappropriate time. I’m so freaking miserable. I think my friends think I’m being dramatic.

last month

Yes, black and white clothing work for me.

last month

This is miserable!!! It has slowly been getting worse over the years

last month

Same with me. I mostly wear dark colors these days so my sweat stains aren’t as noticeable 😂

Same here 😰
