We're paper notes too, nothing digital at all. It's never been mentioned.
I have Budger app but my booking appointment is next week so the app is completely empty at the moment...I did the midwife selreferral online and once I was allocated a midwife, I got a message saying to download that app
Yeah the majority of trusts do badger notes now, but there are still some that don’t & just do paper. If you’ve had your midwife appointment and she hasn’t mentioned it then you will just have the paper notes. Don’t worry you’re not missing anything ! 😂 the notes online are really limited x
I'm in Brighton and we are on the badger app but it's actually amazing as midwife has put recommended reading on different weeks of pregnancy if I have questions on between appointments I can log them on the app then it gets discussed with me at my next appointment xxx
It’s not used everywhere - and tbh, it really doesn’t work well as a system. It relies on your midwife putting all test results and appointments in the system, and my experience (and it seems a lot of other peoples), this does not happen consistently. SO, all in all, I would say, be happy you don’t have to use it, paper notes would be preferable for sure!
@Sarah W I am nearly 19 weeks, and still don’t have most my results on there!
I'm in Stockport and not been told about Badger, using a green book of notes and then because I have been seeing my midwife at my Drs through a weekly clinic the notes have to be printed and posted to me to put in my book (it seems very backwards in this day and age! Tbh)
I'm in Nottingham and it's hit and miss with what goes on the app. Midwife services seem to be most up to date but hospital services/reports haven't yet appeared 2 weeks after appointment.
I’m in Manchester and everything to do with my antenatal has been noted on there , appointments, test results etc x
Im essex and we still have paper, no app ☺️
I have badger app. My notes from 12 weeks scan and first midwife allots ent weren’t updated until my 17 weeks midwife appointment.
My hospital still do paper notes as well. I don’t mind it though and still works for us. I never heard of having maternity notes on an app till I saw some mums on here posting about it
