I was induced last night! The propess was inserted around 8.30pm and contractions began around 2-3 hours later. Ended up having to have it removed after 7hrs instead of 24 but still having contractions without it now. Waiting to see a doctor to find out what the plan is from here!
Having said that some women respond really fast to induction. There was a lady who actually gave birth in induction ward 4 hours after she was given first dose of prostaglandin. So it’s very different for everyone 😊
Good luck 👍 my induction process started on Tuesday and I’m still here waiting for something to happen. It might be faster for you but the hospital I’m in is quite busy so waiting for labour ward to have empty beds so my waters can be broken. It hasn’t been bad tbh I choose balloon catheter which came put after 15hrs and dilated me to 1cm only. I was then given prostaglandin gel and the process was slightly painful and very uncomfortable. The contractions started straight after that and lasted for a few hours before they got very mild and now I’m hardly having any contractions at all. I was checked again after 6hrs to see if I needed another dose but I was already 1.5/2cm dilated. Now just waiting for labour ward to call and break my waters. I’m just so bored here and miss home. Make sure you take something to stay occupied because it could take a while before labour starts.
If you’re having the hormone drip… take the epidural🤪 No but good luck! The time goes sooo fast in labour it’s actually crazy! Hope it goes well for you!
Gud luck im getting induced 2moro so no story from me x
Sorry can't offer any wisdom around induction but just want to say good luck x
I am day 3 now, at 6am this morning I was 3cm and have spent the whole of today waiting for a bed on the labour ward to have my waters broken... hopefully I'm more dilated now and she'll be arriving soon 🤞🏻
