Swaddle question

My baby just turned 2 months and the last couple nights he's been rolling on his side in his sleep, he's been in this swaddle for probably a month but where he's rolling do I need to switch to something with his arms out? My first didn't want to be swaddled ever so I don't know when to switch. Also I have a weighted nested bean swaddle I can undo the arms on, but the minimum weight is 13lbs, would it be okay to use if he's 11lbs or should I wait?

So my daughter has been in a transition swaddle since 2 weeks because she hated being swaddled with her arms across her and started rolling over. The swaddle helped both. Lately she's started rolling over again so now her arms are free. There isn't enough research with the weighted swaddles so I elected not to get them since I don't know how the weight could effect her still developing bones.

@Amanda I switched to a different one with arms out for tonight! He seems not as comfortable and definitely is trying to roll so it's good I switched, hopefully he'll transition easy by tomorrow night

definitely stop using the swaddle until you get a replacement with arms out

Please switch right away. If he were to make it all the way over he would not have his arms to assist him. I would just go straight to the sleep sacks.

@Jackie I'm thinking I'm gonna have to order one but don't wanna pay the price 🥴

I’ve just ordered the transition swaddle Up bags from love to dream. My little girl isn’t rolling yet or even showing signs of it, but she’s outgrown the first ones and we’ll need to transition her eventually so figured this was the best option, then we’ll move to the regular sleep bags with both arms out

We use the carters long sleeve sleep sacks where their arms are out because both my babies started rolling at 2 months so we needed their arms to be free to help them roll back over I’d say wait till he reaches the 13lbs just be safe since that’s what minimum weight says
