Same 😅 we usually just give him the toothbrush to chew for a bit after a little struggle with the top lol
I tell my toddler he needs strong teeth like a shark for chomping, then throughout the day I tell him he’s so good at chomping his food because his teeth are clean… Also he’s into paw patrol and there’s a racing car one where they have a character ‘the whoosh’ who turns up late as he’s been brushing his teeth so again I compliment him and say wow your teeth are white just like the whoosh. We also let him choose his toothbrush and paste at the shops so that he decides which brush to use etc x
I like the grabease tooth brushes for babies. It's double sided so their are bristles on the top and bottom. It also comes with a silicone finger tooth brush. You may want to try singing a song only when you brush their teeth so they know the beginning and end points. I like to sing this to the tune of "this is the way" "This is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth, brush our teeth, this is the way we brush our teeth before we go to bed. We brush brush brush the top row, top row top row. We brush brush brush the top row before we go to bed. Sing again and replace top row with bottom row, sing one more and replace top row/bottom row with tongue. There's also the Raffi song about brushing teeth. I like how Jules from Ms. Rachel sings it
@Mariah ooooh thanks for this I’m definitely going looking for one!!
My LG still gives me a struggle, but I've started brushing my own teeth with her and she likes to brush my teeth while I brush hers. Also, Walmart has these neat 3 sided toothbrushes in the baby aisles that helps ensure they're teeth get clean. I let my daughter bite on her toothbrush and it actually gives them a good clean!
I have the same problem!! Except it’s because she bites down on the toothbrush after 2 seconds 🤣
I hand him the brush, let him do it, then ask if I can check.
