C-section moms

I am 3 month’s postpartum and am still experiencing numbness in the bottom of my stomach. It feels weird to touch and makes me feel a bit queasy. When did you start to get feeling back in your stomach after having a C-section?

My baby is nearly 11 months and mine still feels weird… it’s a very strange sensation it’s like I can’t feel it but I also can? I think once you’ve had a section your nerve endings are just damaged around there x

Almost 1 year pp and it’s still not completely normal. Exactly what @Kerry says, can feel it but can’t at the same time. Very strange!

Had a c section in December 2022 and mine still feels like that. Some days I get happy thinking omg I can finally feel my stomach but the next day I’ll wake up and it’s back to feeling numb again. Feels so weird but I hear in time it does come back depending on how you were cut x

My baby is 17months and mines back to normal but it was numb for so long I forgot about it and have just realised it’s back to normal cz of this post 🤣

I still have that feeling now and my baby is almost 18 months.

Tbf I don’t think feeling comes back near/around the incision site. My mums last section was 18years ago and she still has no feeling

Mines only just back to normal and my baby is 18 months. I sometimes still get sensitivity though x

Im 15 months PP and still have a bit of a funny feeling above my scar. It can take years to heal, or it could even be permanent in some cases. Im pregnant again now so im yet to see how it affects my scar 🙈 I also cannot stand any clothing resting/digging into it. So im still in my full briefs 😅

My baby is 12 months and it still feels weird.

10 months pp and still have some numbness but it has improved a little bit.

I’m 2 months postpartum and I have total feeling back in the c section scar area

I've seen videos about 'scar mobilization' for c section scars. Maybe look into that

I'm 5 months pp and it still feels weird, I try to avoid touching, because it's so weird.

Mine feels much better now at 7 months pp. still numb right above scar

nearly 13 months pp still the same. One of the ancillary staff in the hospital said she was the same and her children were adults 🤷🏻‍♀️ hoping that's not the case as I can't sleep on my stomach anymore which I used to love.

Oh same. 4 and half months now and still numb and the sensation makes me feel bit weird - it's like I can feel certain bits of my skin but not all of it. I don't think I'm going to get any of it back

Im almost 10 months postpartum and I still feel weird…I don’t know if that is ever going to change

4 months pp here and still numb. My Mum is also still numb after having c sections over 30 years ago!

My daughter's 2 and I still can't feel below my belly button! 😂

I'm 19 months PP and pregnant with my second. Parts of my scar are still numb to the touch. It can take a year to get feeling back where it's going to come back. After that you end up used to the numbness

About 9 months for me…but everyone is different and some women never get the feeling back (I’m an Obstetrician btw so I’ve seen thousands of women who have had caesareans)

I'm almost 2 years pp and it's not come back

Took about a year for me

I had an emergency call section with my first. The sensation never came back its still numb cz they cut all the nerves

My little ones 20 months and I’m still numb

2.5 years later and still have no feeling around the scar!

Am 4 months PP and that feeling is gone after 3 months

@Kelly the area where ur scar is u won't ever get that sensation back if its emergency c section cz emergency they cut u open and are in a hurry to save u and the baby. In a standard c section it'd more controlled so the chance of the sensation coming back is still there but u can lose it

@Stephanie was yours emergency or planned? Mine was emergency and 5 yrs later still can't feel it l. Now I'm with My second the scar is so itchy and my tummy is constantly sore
