Personally ai think doing it when they are young is better- not grabbing their ears and they forget about the pain and arnt going to work themselves ip about the pain. Regarding consent- realising how much of a diva my child is at 4 l months she would definitely want her ears pierced 😅🤣
@Victoria I was exactly the same my mum said I was 7-8 months when they did mine but wasnt sure if the places still do it to babies
@Katie not a helpful comment
I did mine at 8 months. People will have opinions and say it’s cruel etc but I had my ears pierced as a baby and it never bothered me!
When they are old enough to ask and know that it may hurt
When they ask for it when they are older. They cannot consent
4/5 months. I did my baby girls at 5 months, she’s 13 months now and we hasn’t had any problems with them x
Personally I won’t be piercing my baby’s ears until much later (like 5+ years old). When they’re really little their ears are still growing and changing and there’s a huge risk that they won’t be centred later on. Much better to wait. Also better to wait and see if she actually wants them pierced later on!
My parents had mine done when I was just a few months old and I’m so glad they did! I never had to deal with the pain or taking care of them but always have had the ability to wear earrings. Plus, I was not responsible enough to take care of new piercings when I would’ve asked and “consented” to them being done. I’m planning on doing the same with my daughter. If someday she decides she doesn’t want them, she can let them close.
