Im a few days away. I got a pregnancy pillow coming this week to make it easier. I've heard they are great and have no shame in starting early with one!

Is it required to sleep on side at 12 weeks never heard such thing? I didn’t start sleeping on my side for a WHILE my previous pregnancy!

I don't think there's a specific week, but you are supposed to stop sleeping on your back for second and third trimester because your uterus presses against important veins and arteries and can block blood and nutrition to baby.

I think you can sleep on your belly until it’s not comfortable (i.e. your bump gets big enough to prevent it). I can’t stop sleeping on my stomach till this nausea leaves haha

definitely still can safely sleep on stomache. long way to go

@Isabel I only googled it lmao so I’ll ask my OB in a week to know for sure for sure

@Mrs. M even with my little bump? I be feeling bad and uncomfortable

yes and you can get creative with pillows and wedges. i sleep with about 6 pillows. i dont use my pregnancy pillow.

I don't like this know some times I can sleep on my left then change to my rite it's depends on the babe for me I use to love sleeping on my tummy now my sides ack but what helps os the pillows makes it more comfortable

You can sleep however you’re comfortable. It’s safe to sleep on your stomach, it just gets uncomfortable after a while. Once you’re far enough for sleeping on your back to be a problem, (at least for me) my bump was so big that my back would go numb and I’d end up flipping side to side all night. And if anything, prop a pillow under just one side of your back/butt and still lay on your back, that’s the most comfortable for me

@JaiCi no yeah it’s uncomfortable that’s why I’m going to stop for sure but I’ll definitely take this advice thank you
