Night terrors?!

My little boy has just turned two, we’ve just experienced the most scariest hour for both of us. He had woke about 30 mins before this and I put him in my bed, he later then jumped up screaming throwing himself everywhere, I’m not sure if he was actually awake at first. I grabbed him to hug saying it’s okay but he honestly wanted to get out the room, I had to turn the light on and go downstairs with him, he was still screaming holding onto me so tight. We are both currently on the sofa watching tv and he’s petrified to go upstairs and so am I incase it happens again 😩

@Samantha yes!! My little boy was the same he was throwing himself around screaming, I know it says not to wake them but I didn’t know what to do! Have you found anything that helps? He was asleep in my room when it happened and even this morning he didn’t want to walk past it!x

My daughter has night terrors occasionally, and it’s awful. She thrashes around and nothing helps because she isn’t really awake. Even if she stands up and he’d eyes are open, it’s like she’s somewhere else. Our doc told us we just have to ride them out, and baby won’t remember them the next day.
