@Meghan how are you feeling ? I think I was heading that way too. I jumped from 137 to 175 and was starting to feel kinda bad so I moved back down to 150 so I’m hoping things will balance out now. Before I got pregnant, I was giving NP thyroid to try and I was feeling great but then I unexpectedly got pregnant and my levels are crazy so I got back on Synthroid.

@Lisa well that’s good! As long as t3 and t4 are in range I wouldn’t be too worried about baby. Sometimes it takes 3-4 weeks for the TSH to regulate with new meds and dosages. Sounds like you’re figuring it out! 💗

@Dana my t3 and t4 are in range and my tsh is usually in range but due to me changing meds and unexpectedly getting pregnant things got a little crazy.

@Lisa are you having anything else checked besides TSH? Free t3 and free t4 levels are the most important to check, you want those to be in range. TSH will be closest to 0 when you are on thyroid medication, it shows that the medication is doing it’s job. It’s very confusing! But I highly suggest working with a naturopath doctor who specializes in thyroid care, that’s where I finally found success!

Me too, but I’m only on synthroid. We way over corrected and I’ve been in hyperthyroid territory for a few weeks. Doing the same thing - checking in every few weeks to see if we can get the numbers back in range.

@Dana I was trying that right before I found out I was pregnant and my tsh was 23 and they didn’t want to take the chance cause I was pregnant and put my back on Synthroid. I was in 137 and my last TSH blood draw was 7.1 so I’m almost in range and they bought me up to 150 which is what I was on from my previous pregnancy so hopefully in a couple weeks when I draw my blood again I’ll be where I need to be.

@Lisa could it be because your dose wasn’t suitable? Do you know about how much you were taking? The other option is Armour which is the natural t3 and t4 combo but I haven’t tried that approach yet.

@Dana I’ve never done well with T3. It makes me feel horrible.

Yes! I do! I have to be on T4 (Synthroid) and T3 (Liothyronine) to keep my levels in range.
