Am I overreacting

I haven’t had the best pregnancy and have suffered with my mental health I think my husband definitely contributes a lot to this as he isn’t understanding and blames everything on hormones if I try and call him out. However, he said today as soon as u give birth go on contraception I can’t deal with ur hormones again!! This comment has really hurt my feelings especially because he’s always been so against any form of contraception. Pls advice not sure what to say

This guy needs to get educated on postpartum and how long it legitimately takes a woman to feel like her normal self again (up to 7 years per child/pregnancy isn’t it? Stacked.) and if your usual/normal self struggles with mental wellness, well then he either has to step up as a man or get lost.

Honest opinion, if you’re going through some mental health issues you need a partner that is concern of your well being, and not a partner that looks at you like a problem for him. We’re more sensitive after we give birth than what we are during pregnancy. “I can’t deal with your hormones again” sounds like if he’s being obligated 😒 asking you to go on contraceptive is insensitive of him because it will mess with your mental health and hormones even more, contraception isn’t always the solution, he should act like a supportive partner and period
