Im assuming you dont have insurance which is why you say the therapy is expensive? Better Help would be a good alternative...its a purely online thing....i think my hubs paid like 80 a month for his stuff...but obv confirm for yourself if youre interested. Id also recommend looking up anxiety and depression, and compare your symptoms with what the symptoms of each of those are. Cause feeling down for a little bit isnt the same thing as having depression. Very very different things. Ive had depression since i was 16...its so much more than just feeling down. Also if you recently gave birth, it may also be PPD....so thats something to look into too if that applies to you.

A family doctor cant test you for ADHD....you have to go somewhere special for that....did your family doc actually say "i have diagnosed you with ADHD"? Cause ive been wanting to get tested for ADHD and my fam doc and my therapist have both told me i need to go somewhere specific for that 😆 same thing with autisim. They can screen you and tell you if you have symptoms or warning signs...but like...they cant diagnose that as far as im aware... i feel like family docs shouldn't even be able to diagnose depression. Because now that im older....i am almost positive i have ADHD...and ADHD can present like an anxiety and depression combo....but theres a different treatmemt for it lol 😆 soooo yeahhhh id honestly go to a center that actually diagnoses ADHD if ya want to confirm that.

I can’t speak to ADHD, but I’ve suffered from severe anxiety, Bi-Polar and PTSD for 25+ years. Counseling and therapy are fantastic, but if it’s not feasible for you and you’ve told her that, I would suggest an appointment with a different family doctor. There are medications that can help with the anxiety and depression that a family physician can prescribe. Also, a good doctor will usually have some advice for low cost or free resources in your area. If you can’t do that, try to reach out to some local charity organizations that may be able to steer you in the right direction. Even researching online for organizations outside your area may help.
