Active sleep😩

Anyone have any tips on how to help with active sleep? My little one is struggling with really bad active sleep throughout the majority of most nights, she’s 6 weeks old and it seems to have suddenly got worse. Doesn’t happen throughout her naps in the day just all night! Im getting up to check on her and she’s asleep, not crying for a feed or anything just moving around a lot making loud noises etc. she will settle for a bit then start all over again. Sleep deprived mummašŸ˜…. Would love to know what helped settle your little ones if anythingšŸ¤

I have a next to me cot so it always used to wake me up and for the first few weeks I was getting my little girl up to change her and feed her thinking she was awake 😩 I have a white noise machine that drowns out some of the little noises she makes and sends us both off to sleep pretty quick

Active sleep is normal for all newborns. It’s there way of going from one sleep cycle to the next. As long as her crib is empty with just a sheet she can move all she wants and she’s safe.

My daughter still does this at 6 months. Thrashes all over place but still asleep. I've heard it's their way of entering REM sleep.
