Crib in own room?

Does anyone already have their baby in their own room in their crib? My baby does well in her own room but my anxiety with SIDS kicks in and I want her in our room in her bassinet. Anyone else?

@Candice I read on a peanut post some moms use a heating pad to warm up the bassinet before they put baby down so the mattress is toasty warm & babies are sleeping better. Might be worth a try. I've never used this method, but we have a heater in the room, so similar concept.

@Candice not sure. In-laws bought for us. We have a heater next to her which helps significantly. The noise & warmth keep her asleep for hours. We've recently added white noise in & she loves that too.

Yeah, I have a bassinet

I didn’t want to get a bassinet but, so glad someone got us one at baby shower. I’ll probably move my lil one to his own crib after 3-4 months or so. I’ve also got a nanit and breathable organic mattress for his crib, just for a piece of mind.

@Candice we have the 4Moms bassinet no problems we swaddle the baby and he sleeps for an average of 4.5 hours at a time

@Tyler I’m so sorry 😢

@Emmanuella I agree, I think she just really likes the mattress in the crib. We have a bed sleeper bassinet and she doesn’t like that either

@Candice i don't think the type of bassinet would do any good.. we tried a little unorthodox but my aunt back home the bassinet base is hard so we layered the base with elevated blanket then bassinet sheet, the blanket isn't plush but it won't be hard of your baby, 2 hours tops at night . My child would sleep 30 minutes until I used this, afterwards 2 to 3 hours, it's more of a mattress pad so to speak

@Julia we did the bassinet last night and got zero sleep. What bassinet do you use? We have the halo and she does not sleep more than 15 minutes

I got a Nanit because I knew my anxiety would be insane, and there's still no way I'd have her in her nursery yet lol

No we don’t move them into their own room until they’re sleeping throughout the night … our first went in her room around 3 months old she was sleep for 9 hours

My first child, he stayed in bassinet for the first two months and he stays in his room at three months till date

Imo way too young. Our first stayed in our room until 14mo. Our second (newborn) will stay at least until. 6 or 12 mo when sids risk drops significantly. Our girls are good sleepers & do fine in our room. + I can check on them when I need to

Mama, same! I got a wheeling bassinet, so it can be moved even while she is sleeping in it. I don’t plan to keep her in our room forever, but it’s only been 10 days and especially while she is needing me in the middle of the night, it helps my sleep. Also, my husband’s 3 year old is with us every other week and they will eventually be sharing a room, but currently also has trouble sleeping, so I don’t want the baby to wake her.
